How to Take a Screenshot on Your iPad
Matt Cone February 23, 2013 Tutorials iPad
Taking a screenshot of your iPad allows you to capture whatever is on your iPad’s screen. It’s a great way to share your high game scores, message conversations, or setting configurations. Screenshots are saved as photos on your iPad, and if you use Photo Stream, they’re automatically shared with all of your other Apple devices. An example screenshot is shown below.
Here’s how to take a screenshot of your iPad:
Navigate to the app, webpage, or screen that you want to capture in a screenshot. The iPad can be in either portrait or landscape mode.
Press and hold the home button, as shown below.
While still pressing the home button, press the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPad’s case.
You’ll know that the screen was successfully captured when you see a flash and hear the camera shutter sound.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully taken a screenshot of your iPad. Now you can find the screenshot in the Photos app on your iPad. And if you use Photo Stream, the screenshot will automatically be shared with all of your other Apple devices.
